they will fit but you will have to notch the fenders and most of the stuff off ebay you will have to splice the wire harnesses together. the best lights are OEM or these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

if you are not familiar with metal work I would go with the R34. but if you have some skills with tools AND LIVE IN A LOW LIT AREA AND KNOW A BIT ABOUT ELECTRICAL WIRING then get the cefiros.

::EDIT:: I MEANT TO SAY LOW LIT AREA FOR THE R34'S

From my understanding of write ups on other sites I've seen about cerifo headlights on the max is that you either need to cut out of bend down the bracket the stock corner lights mount to. And there will be a gap between the corner and fender do to the area on the cerifo/i30's being more "square" and upright where the max is more rounder out. Many people put some weather stripping in there to fill in the gap instead of having body work done.

atleast that's how I understood it.

For all I know you could be right. That's what I thought when I first looked at them. So the OP will have to do some more research.

I don't care for the fitment on them but love the look so I'm just doing the "clone" ones by painting the insides of the stockers to match.

i like the cefiros, but the fact that you got to splice some wires and cut some metal turned me off

I have had the Cifero lights for approx 3-4 years now, right before they became a popular conversion. I have never had any complaints and would recommend them to anybody interested in switching lights. They run H4's (or H3's, I can remember off hand) instead of the old 9006 (or whatever) was stock....its been so long I cant even remember, LOL. I just used a strip of weather stripping to fill in the gap around the old corner light location as mentioned above, no problems to date.

Before this, I did the "AE" mod and painted the stock housings black but I just like the one-piece look better. I have also since heard that the beam pattern on the R34 style is horrible, but I may be wrong.

While I like the look of the Cefiros, I like the stock style clear black headlights more. The R34's look great, but from everything I have seen the light projection is horrible. Now, if you put projectors in the low beam on the R34's, you will have a hot look and great light output. Here are some pics, click on pics to see more.
