I need new pads and want to go ceramic to cut down on the tons of brakedust that came from the OEM's. Just wondering if someone can recommend a ceramic pad that will fit my existing brakes (OEM), or any other pad that will cut down on the dust, and a good place to get them.

Thanks all!

Tom

I'd recommend the Axxis Ultimate Ceramics. There are a few places you can purchase them. Checkout this http://www.axxisbrakes.com/wtb.htm website to see a list of online retailers. Some local parts stores may also be able to get them. They should do the job quite nicely.

Actually, if you look at the chart, the Deluxe Plus offer the least dust, and the least amount of rotor wear, etc. They should be the equal or better than stock, esp. for less dust and slower rotor wear. The ceramics are best at all out friction properties but are more dusty, etc.

Every non pure metallic, including semi metallic contain some CERAMIC materials.................it is just a marketing phrase...........telling you nothing.

Ceramics generally are street pads with limited performance above 550F so be careful.

The large amounts of carbon dust in oem pads are there to help with extremes of cold and hot beyond the normal 100-600F.

Dust is good and helps maintain quietness, cutting down the dust oftens adds noises especially when pads are colder than 150F or get overheated at the extremes.
