So ive been thinking since I recently spun a rod bearing in my CA since then I have picked up a spare block but I was hoping that I dont have to bore out the cylinder walls and go with forged pistons. So if I dont have to I wanted to get some input on ceramic coating the pistons..... anyone have any experience with it I only plan to get about 350-400 whp.

While it won't hurt anything, there's no big performance gain. I've had a few sets coated and it didn't seem to matter to me or my pistons. It's all in the tuning. You can coat the hell out your pistons, but if your engine is not tuned properly, detonation will still do what it does.

if you have forged pistons you shouldn't worry abuot having them coated.

I'm one of those rotary guys aswell as a ca guy, and being a rotary guy, I know how important a good tune is because in a rotary, 1 detonation can mean new rebuild, new housings and rotors ~4k :P. Piston engine... well, you can deto some :P
