Hi all, I have a 97 Maxima GXE and the time has come for me to change my rotors and pads. I was just considering switching to ceramic pads and needed to know if you need ceramic rotors as well? Or can you just have the ceramic pads working with regular rotors?

Thanks :-)

if you're running stock wheels i wouldn't go ceramic but semi-metallic since you don't need to worry about brake dust as much. ceramics are better when handling noise and dust though but more expensive. i haven't heard about ceramic rotors and pretty sure they don't make them for everyday drivers like us. if you decide to do a good brake upgrade go ceramic pads, drilled and slotted rotors - expensive but top notch upgrade. if you just need stock replacement any auto parts store can get you new rotors and pads fairly cheap. ask yourself how much you want to spend and what you expect, tell that to your parts guy and he'll get you what you need.
