I have a 02 Maxima A33 ST which has 78000 on the clock it has just started locking and unlocking the doors when it feels like it Started when using keyless entry would press to unlock and it would cycle twice now it also does it when you just close or open door. As yet it has not stayed locked it always cycles back to unlock position.I have also had the alarm activate for no reason with vehicle locked in garage any help would be appreciated, i have heard there is a sensor/module in steering column is this correct?Would it help to run through the reprogram procedure for the key?

Check the push in sensors (I forget what they're called) on each door. One of them might be broken or going in crooked. Those are the things that let the car know when a door is open or closed. If one of the sensors are broken, the doors will unlock when you keep trying to lock them.

Thanks for reply, and i will have a look at the door sensors.I am not sure if its related but this appears to have started since weather has started to get cold and wet.
