Well...... It all depends on what you want to happen.....

If youd wanna just chill and talk to people, then anderson would be just fine...... There's a state park, we could all go and chill there......

I NEED MORE INPUT!!!

A road track would be cool, and so would muncie drag strip, but you got keep in mind that the tracks are only open certian dates. So if we are set on October 11th. Maybe we should just hang out somewhere. Also does anybody know of any autocross events that sunday, or does anybody here autocross at all? I think that would be fun.

I'm not going to be going onto a track yet, but I wouldn't mind watching everyone else. I like the idea of hanging out at the park and then maybe heading over to the track. Which park is up there? I could probably do any saturday in October except the 25th, so if you want to change the date that is fine by me. The only prob with the park is that people will have to pay to get in. I think it is only $4 for Indiana state parks though, not much.

I don't think finding a good park should be hard. Heck there's plenty in Plainfield(southwestern suberb of indy) if you guys want to come here. We could cook out. thats always fun.

The last few meets have been "track" related. It might be a good change of pace to have a park cook out.then maby a country road cruse.Jst throwing out some ideas.

BTW: the further south the better the turn out will be.

I like the idea of just a park and cook out. If people wouldn't mind paying a little, we could reserve a pavilion at one of Indiana's fine state parks. Or we could just find a park somewhere and set up shop. In Indy, the best parks I can think of are Eagle Creek or Southweastway. Eagle costs a little to get into, but it is big and very accesible to everyone. Southeastway is free, but is a little harder to get to. I don't know about the Muncie and Anderson area. Further south, there are more state parks that we could go to. There are the staples of Brown County or Spring Mill, but they will be packed in October. A city park would be nice. In northern Indy there is Fort Ben. I haven't been there, but to play golf, but I hear that it is nice. I am sure that the Noblesville and Fishers areas have nice parks.

I guess it depends on turn out like jezter said. More will come if the meet is south. I don't know how far south he is thinking though. South of Indy? South, like Bloomington?

I dont wanna drive that far....... Bloomington that is.......

But there are parks here for free that are easy to get to, big open spaces and whatnot........

The difference between anderson and indy is only about 30 mins........ Muncie is even farther........

Personally, Id rather just hand out, eat, and look at cars........!

I was thinking "South" as in the south side of Indy.A 30 min drive past Indy wouldn't be that bad either. You guys do some scouting on the park of choice.A Free one would be best if someone could get there early and reserve some spots. We could all bring some food (chips,2-liters,meat,condiments,ECT...) Keep the ideas comming!;)

Hehe, where were you in June? We had an autocross near Columbus, Indiana that was with the SCCA. Even had our own class and awards. That was a little too hardcore for some, but there were a few of us that had a good time with it.

Wes, you live less than 30 minutes away from me. I'm in Noblesville. Straight shot across 32 and I'm in Anderson. We need to get together for a beer soon!

Ft. Ben is a neat area. I think we should do it there. Cold_Zero can scope it out since he lives next door and his dad used to work there. It would be easy access for everyone since it's on the East Side and NOT in the ghetto. :D

I think that Ft Ben would be really good. There is alot of room and it is a little further south for the Kentucky folk than Anderson. It is easy to get to from the interstate as well. Just a cookout and shizzy like that would be great in my opinion. Bring a football and get a game going. Just my opinion though.

Werd. I'm down with the clown but I'll probably have to work if it's the 11th. I'll be off at 6, so we'll have to have an evening activity.

Alright....... Vote time......

Two options..... Shadyside in anderson, Ft ben in indy, or Morse park in Noblesville....... They are all gonna be about 25mins with each other, less if your not a law abiding citizen!! :D

I have only been to Ft. Ben, so I don't know what the other parks have to offer otherwise. Can you fill us in on what there is to do otherwise at the parks. Such as hiking, or fields for frisbee or football, something along those lines.

Actually it really doesn't matter to me which park. I am up for any of them. Ft. Ben is closer to me, but I don't mind an extra couple of minutes drive.

This meet is going to be pretty laid back, IE there isnt going to be much planned activites...... except eating times (that is the most important)......

I still have some final preparations to make, and then Ill post a new thread with all the final details........

Sounds good to me. Hopefully there will be a few people show up other just me. It's not much of a meet if there are only 2 or 3 people.

I am awaiting an email from Repo....... Then the final things we'll be made......

Just so you all know, if we did it here in Anderson, there's a junkyard just a few minutes away from a place we may go.........

Wes, you've got mail. Ryan, I may have to work October 11th, so what would you think about coordinating this meet with Wes? I'll be free after 6p if I do have to work.

I mentioned Ft. Ben in my email to Wes, as it would be a lot easier for the people from Cincy, Louisville and further south than a more northern location. I'll leave it up to you guys though, but if there is anything I can do to help, I will.
