Well I just got my new CF stage 3 Clutch in today. I’ll be doing a review after my break-in period. But I thought I would show off some photos in the mean time.

Here’s Center forces description of this clutchCENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION®

And now the photo's

I’ll also toss in some tip about the install when I install it. That is unless it is a breeze to install. But when is anything that simple. Epically for my first time. ;)

I have that clutch too. Very smooth, factory feel, except it has alot more grip. You'll like it!! That trans is a pain to get out though, it's too darn close to the firewall. you have ti kind of move it back and turn it to the side. Kind of tricky. Good luck!!

remove the dampener.

I had that same clutch. for about a year and a half, just died on me and i replaced it with a Daikin / Exedy.

So expect it to last a year and a half or so. But then again, I did drift on it, and my initiation technique of choice is clutch kick, so... YMMV.

No thanks, clutch feels just fine for my driving. I do some street racing and take the car to the drag strip once in awhile. I like to go down curvy roads now and then too. The car will not be used for drifting.

Ok, I have been about a month now so here is a follow up.

The install was a breeze bedside’s getting the old Throw out bearing off. Now would be a good time to change a pivot point. Clutch line, or slave cylinder.

I broke in my clutch with my trip from TN to MA 900 miles one way.

I took it easy on the pedal the whole way. I got stuck in NY traffic at 5pm and in a traffic jam through CT for about 4 hours. This only helped the break in because break in is 500 miles of STOP and GO traffic. If you ignore this you could crack the clutch in half. You want to temper the clutch (heat it up and cool it off). Just wait for the 500 miles.

Pedal feel at first was right off the floor it felt like it grabbed at full force. But after about 2000 miles I can feel how it slightly grabs at the floor and is fully engaged at about half way up. The clutch holds without slipping without any problems. The car has a different feeling to it like I can control the car better and now I can really feel the need for LSD.

I went to the drag strip (1/8th mile) after 3000 miles to test the difference between stock and CF stage 3.

My ET went from 10.80 to 10.54 with just the clutch change. It took a beating at the track and just laughed at what the KA was throwing at it. I did pass's all day long from 4pm-10pm with a 45 min rest for a gamblers race and VHT spray down. Not once did the clutch slip or show any problems. I have about 40 time slips. The stock clutch on the other hand would show slipping after about 5-7 pass's and have to sit to cooled off.

I'm very happy with the clutch and would recommend it to anyone.

My next follow up will be how the clutch handle's my KA-T setup but that will be a while.

I give this clutch 9 out of 10 because you have to leave room for improvement.

If you have any questions ask away.

I paid 225 for both the clutch and the throwout bearing.

the stage 3 is just fine for daily driving. it's not an on/off clutch like a puck. it's almost like stock except it grabs a whole lot more.
