Has anyone installed a dual friction clutch from Centerforce in a 2002 supercharged Xterra?

Centerforce doesn't list it as an application, but Autopartswarehouse.com lists some that work.

I ordered one from them & a freind who was a Nissan mechanic tried to install it today, but the alignment pins did not line up.

I called Autopartswarehouse.com to get a refund & they said they sent the wrong part. It is part number C78DF912053 from Centerforce. Apparantly there are two kits with different diameters with the same part number?

The supercharged diameter is 8 5/8 inch.The non-sc is 9 3/4 inch.

Autopartswarehouse.com claims they have a catalog from Centerforce listing the smaller diameter one. I have an email to Centerforce to see if that is the case.

But anyway, has anyone put one on a SCed Xterra?

Holy crap!

I wish I could say good things about centerforce clutches, but I can't. They don't have a history of longevity. Then again, that's the first time I've ever seen that happen with an OEM clutch. Typically the OEM clutches are very good and last superbly well.

FYI;

I got a call from Centerforce today. They said they do not make a clutch kit for the supercharged models of the 99-04 Xterra/Frontier despite what some vendors are stating on their websites. They have no plans on making them. They have such a low volume on the non-sc models, that they cannot justify spending the costs for R&D.

I picked up my CENTERFORCE CLUTCH KIT 81-83 NISSAN 280ZX DF534007 for only $258.46. Here's the link: http://www.fasterthanthem.com/...0?tw2
