Hi folks. I'm in the process of restoring the interior of my '72 Z, from floor rust repair to seats, electrical gremlins, etc. I'm now looking to the center console, which is in decent shape but has some cracks at the back where an armrest was mounted.

Has anyone had any luck repairing this plastic? Is there a plastic epoxy or a way to re-bond areas with some heat?

Thanks!

Harbor Freight sells a plastic welder that should work to repair cracks from the back side assuming there are no gaps.

For gaps SEMS sells a plastic bumper repair material that goes off way to fast (seconds).

West Marine sells a slower setting epoxy resin called Six10 that goes off in minutes rather than seconds. It is white and requires painting of exposed surfaces.

I've used both resins to repair cracked dashes and much prefer Six10. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into those.
