Just hit 6K with my 2011 Rogue SV-SL and on very slight bumps there is a plastic creaking noise coming from the center console right above the climate control knobs. Just began last night with no apparent cause. If I press the corner of the console just below the Navigation system with my finger it stops as long as I hold it. Any ideas or recommendations? And don’t say just keep your finger there, I beat someone to that answer !!!! :rotfl

It's a 2011. Take it to the dealer, it's under warranty.

I plan to I was just hoping for a quick easy fix before a dealer tears up the console.

Squeaks & rattles are very difficult to diagnose. There is no 'quick fix'. Typically the repair involves removing components, tightening fasteners, and possibly insulating parts where they contact each other with felt backed tape until the noise disappears.

These adjustments are typically covered under warranty, so the dealer is your best bet.

The dealer said my Rogue has "rattle and squeak noise warranty" for one year/20.000 km.

Ha Ha, I would have to see that in writing. He just does not want to bother with it. I can tell you that rattles are hard to locate. I would try a different dealer or try to locate the source yourself.

Your dealer is correct, but it is called a "One Year Adjustment Period", as per your warranty manual. I've always been a little puzzled by this because your 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty should cover everything including squeeks and rattles, but because this can be a bit subjective there is no gaurantee the tech's can reproduce the noise and successfully eliminate it - presumably in the first year adjustment period they're a little more motivated to spend the time on these issues than after the one year mark.

As for the center console creaking, there is a Technical Service Bulletin for this for 2008 Rogue's, but the fix would most likely apply to any vehicle experiencing this noise as it's just a matter of applying some insulated tape around the base of the finish piece:

Nissan Rogue TSB No. NTB08031
IF YOU CONFIRM There is a creaking noise coming from the console finisher assembly when making turns. ACTIONS Remove the console finisher assembly. Put tape from the squeak and rattle kit on the 9 ribs located on the upper half of the console finisher assembly. See Figure 1. See this bulletin for further detail.
