So I am attempting to switch out my center console with the cup holders to the version with the armrest. However I am wondering which parts I will need to complete this.

Image

From what i can see here I will definitely need pieces 17, 18, and 20. however when i went down to order these all today it showed 17 and 18 available for both s and sl models of the versa, but 20 only showed for the sl model. also there was another piece that he had shown that he thought I may need. some kind of tray that goes under the armrest body (piece 18) not sure if the current setup would have that tray and either was he.

so my question is should piece 20 still fit in the s model? is there a difference between the armrest in the sl and the s models. and does anyone know if i need this tray piece that is not pictured in the FSM? thanks in advance for any help you can offer. as soon as i find this info out i will be putting the order in for the pieces necessary.

How much are you paying for the armrest? I know I got the after market one for like $30 and it just screws into the front-most cup holder in the center. Its probably not as big as that one and it doesn't fold but it gives you something to rest on and some extra storage. But I took a look at the schematic in the service manual, and it would seem as though you need part 17, 18 and 20 like you said. I don't think you could go with out it and use part 24 since the length and design of the two pieces seems pretty different. I may be wrong, but 24 doesn't seem to have the armrest mounting ability of part 18.

Well I just signed up for some one to one rewards program at my dealership and they gave me 250 to spend in parts. So right now with parts 17 and 18 it came to 220 after tax. So I wouldn't technically be payin anything. With part 20 added on though may pay about 30 tops.

I have the aftermarket now but just don't like it really. So figure if I can get oem for cheap then why not.

But part 20 confused me with part numbers for only sl models. While 18 and 17 had for both s and sl. And numbers for s were different from sl. So what should I order? Should I order all parts for the sl model? The FSM doesn't say anything bout a difference.

Well im pretty sure the armrest is an SL feature, so they probably categorize the parts that way. Worse comes to worse, you just ask the dealer :gotme

That's what I thought too. I was surprised to see 17 and 18 available under the s model. Like I said before I was at the dealer and we were both unsure what I would need. So that is why I was hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on the situation. Will probably just order the sl model parts and if it comes in wrong then return it I guess.

It was something called one to one rewards or something like that. When I sighned up they gave me 250 to spend in parts and 25 to spend in service. And from what they said I can order stuff online and if I do I from a link on their site I can get points and if I get stuff from the dealer I get points. Not sure if its just my dealer doin it or if it is all of nissan

I was looking into that "One to One" thing, and from what I can tell it looks like its intended for repair shops and parts distributes, didn't see anything about private party.

Also, Does anyone have the actual Nissan Part number for 17, 18 and 20? My brother in law works as a Toyota tech but can also get Nissan OEM stuff at cost. Want to have him price this out for me.

I signed up for a service and extra coverage sort of program. I got 2 free oil changes, free inspections and 1 tire rotation and they said if i happened to hit a deer or something they would put $50 towards the repairs. No points or parts money though, what a gyp.

So. Went to nissan today to order the parts I have found I would need and found out the right parts would cost over 900. So no way I'm gettin that. Also found out that the rewards program actually offered 25 in parts or service and 250 in sales( for a new car). So I was lied to before. Not to happy but I guess ill get over it.

Didn't get the part number for the pieces. But the armrest piece it self was over 1100. The guy knocked it down to little over 800 for me. The other parts were little over 40 a piece. Not sure if he knocked those down too or not.

^ Ya, its pretty outrageous, I called my dealer today to price out the parts and get part numbers (so that I could have my brother in law order them at cost) but when he quoted me $940 just for the armrest body I gave up all hope. Unless they are charging like a 500% markup then its a mute point.

Looks like I'm start the "pick-a-part" circuit tomorrow... my prediction, i'll fine like a thousand S models, and no SL's.

There are like 10 pick a part yards around me... the problem is that none of them will tell you whats on the lot. Took the day off of work on weds for the express purpose to hunting this damn thing down lol.

There is a pretty slick looking after-market one that popped up on ebay a little while ago. The problem is that I cant find anyone who's testing it yet.
