So In my 2007 Infiniti M35 sport, the center console illumination lights are not working. The lights that illuminates the ac and radio controls. When driving at night it’s pitch black. However the dome lights and running lights work. When I open the door some lights work as well. Any ideas. Please help.

Welcome to the forum.

Did you check all of the fuses by your left foot (if I recall)? If so, you might be having an issue with your BCM.

Yes changed all the fuses by my left. Even changed the big BCM fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

Then it could be possible your actual BCM is on the fritz. I had similar electrical issues and part of my issue was the BCM.

And you didn't bump the dimmer switch left of the steering wheel, correct?

That’s correct. I’ve checked the dimmer switch up and down and nothing. It does control the actual dashboard where the speedometer and gas gages are. But the area where the radio and ac components are aren’t responding or illuminating

It's typically under the steering wheel in the dash a bit...relatively easy to get too. Some cars have it in the center console under the radio but on my M56x it's under the steering column so I imagine it's in the same vicinity on the older M's.

Looks like according to the '06 M45 Service Manual, the BCM is behind the glovebox

Keep in mind you *may* need to program the keys and such if you change the BCM.
