I know you guys gotta know more about this stuff than I do, so here goes:

I'm on the Verizon network (hate it but stuck for now) and my phone is a POS. I'm looking to buy a used Motorola Startac 7868 (like I used to have) or a V60, but Verizon wants big bucks for them.

You guys got any ideas? I've seen them for sale on eBay, but that's gonna be my last resort...

Well, being the "mechanic" that you are, you shouldn't have a problem shelling out some cash for a cell phone. Right?

Go to an AT&T Wireless store and sign up there. You will find great deals there. I know you are stuck with Verizon but see if you can get out of the contract. pick a fight wiith a rep and then get it canceled!

umm yeah Ebay is ok aslong as its "new in the box" or they will let u return it.. but check with your provider to make shure that they can hook any phone up to their system i know with AT&T i had to buy an "AT&T" phone.. go figure.. but now im on cingular and it sucks worse then AT&T.. accully ive never used a cell phone that was clear...
