CEL PRObLEM

ok, I had my CEL come on... so I told myself i would get a checked and all.. so been about 5 weeks now.. and I decided to go to the track last night.. Oh man am I disaapointed. I ran a 17.446 at 80mph... I USUALLY run 15.7-16.1 depending on R/T.... COuld something like a bad CAT or o2 sensor hurt em that much? I am puzzled, Ia m getting it looked at on monday.

IIRC in some situations when the CEL comes on the ECU goes to a 'safemode' of sorts that pulls timing.

That would certainly explain the loss of power.
