CEL disconnect

Good day all,
I have a 1992 Pathfinder, I need to find out how to disconnect power/ground to the CEL to prevent it illuminating. Does anyone know which pin(s) from the ECU power this light? Not those which trigger the light, those which allow it to illuminate?

Should be pin 6 at the cluster, but according to this you can just yank the bulb.
