Pull your seat out and see if there is some change stuck in the track somewhere. It usually gets stuck in the right side runner [as if your sitting in the seat]
When you put the key in the ignition and turn the key onto accessory, is the check engine light as well as the lights on the right side all supposed to be on? Sorry for the newbie question, but this is my first Nissan (owned many Hondas ). On my Hondas, the check engine and oil light come on, but shut off unless there is really a CEL. On my 240, the light remains. Is this supposed to happen?
This morning, my CEL was from startup to shutdown, instead of randomly as previously stated. I ran some seafoam through the brake booster hose, and followed all the instructions on the label as well as the seafoam thread on this board. After letting it sit for 5 minutes and taking it for a run, before I hit the freeway, the CEL light turned off, and remained off throughout the entire ride on the freeway and offstreets, instead of just freeway as previously stated. It may have fixed the problem?
But is the CEL supposed to be on, until you turn on the engine, then it turns off? Please let me know, thanks for your help!
