ok i just recently had my car serviced for electrical problems. when i took it in i had no cel what so ever. after i picked it up i noticed it was on. i just checked the code and it came out as 25. after a goole search i found that it was for the IACV. which im assuming is the idle air control valve. my electrical problem was the harness grounded out on the head cause the ignition fusible link to blow. right in the area on the harness of where the short was im assuming that the wires for the iacv or right there also. is it possible the technician that worked on my car could have possibly caused this cel? i duno for sure though just want some thought and opinions before i go take it back up there in the am tomorrow. thanks

it is possible he had it disconnected and turned the key on to check the circuit which would have set the light. Those things can happen when doing wiring repairs. It may just be a matter of resetting the light. you could just reset it and see if it comes back on then take it back to them. If it doesnt then thats probably all it was.

oh really?? when i pulled the code earlier i reset it and its not on anymore. although i did just move it to the other side of my driveway. ill go take it for a spin ans see what happens. whats a reasonable amount of time for it to come on if something were wrong with it? thanks for your help

yea it would be plenty of time and it could possibly come on with the cold temp of the am. if by tomortow afternoon it doesnt come on I feel its safe to assume that is what happened.

yes but a cold start would be needed to be sure since cold affects electronics.
