I've a 98 OBDII Ka det , I left the cat sensor unplug and EGR temp probe left it open to cause my CEL came on . anyhow, I am trying to fix the problem ( relocating the O2 sensor and try the cut the signal wire method( has anyone done it and had no problem) or I just relocated further away toward the back of the exhuast. before I fix this , my CEL still be on, can I still be safely boost? woudl that run in to rich mode and it ignore the MAF signal? (I'm using piggyback)

It'll run just fine...simple stuff like OBD issues will NOT cause the ECU to do anything different. If you had a MAF code, or maybe a CAS code, then it might be in some sort of "limp mode".

But otherwise...it changes nothing. I've had a 2nd O2 code for a year...Io reset it occasionally, and it comes back on soon after...but I drive the piss out of my KA-T, with no trouble so far (12psi, 298rwhp).

If your worried buy an o2 simulator and boost happy w/o cel issue. Also if you haven't already buy an M18x1.5 plug for your o2 sensor hole so you can drive around with it out. $2 at autozone. -Dave
