First the door handle now this, I hit the eject button and I hear this faint clicking coming from the inside.

Its like im getting all the problems in one month like some sort of neat exclusive package where I don't have to pay 4 easy payments of $29.95.

Advice is greatly appreciated.

Is this the 6-disc or single?

This sounds strangely familiar. My sister had a 2001 toyota camry, same thing happened to her. It would say, cd error, then just stay there.

I couldn't eject it. I turned the car off, let it sit for 10 minutes, then with the car off I pressed the eject button and there it was.

My dad also had the same problem, he has a 2003 Ford, with a 6-disc CD changer. Every so often, when cylcing through the cd's, it would get "stuck". It would make a ticking and buzzing sound. We would just have to wait until it worked.

One day I just took the radio out, opened that sucker up, and applied some lithium grease to the moving parts. We havn't had the problem since. I guess the grease that is put on there just dries up with the heat, that's why I put lithium based grease , it has a really high tolerance to heat.

I hope this helps

this may be a bit too extream, but my dad just bought a brand new stereo from http://www.crutchfield.com for under 100. It sounds like the easiest fix to me. I installed it for him in minutes...crutchfield supplies all of the tools for installation, diagrams, virtual installation dvd...they are overall very helpful and perfect. They even ship in under three days. So if you plan to get it fixed for around 100, just buy a new better one!

Yeah because the first time I hit eject It said disc error, and i was listening to it earlier. It's still stuck, I may have to open the whole console open..although I have never done anything like that before.

Maybe you could disconnect the battery and see if that will reset it.

It looks like you should be able to just pull the stereo out without taking apart the dash.

Maybe take it to Circuit City and have them pull it for you? Then you would just have to take apart the stereo to retrieve the CD. Shouldn't be too hard, just time consuming.

I work for a Nissan dealership as a Tech. There is a nissan TSB for problems with the radios like with cd problems skipping, not playing, not ejecting/or accepting, and trouble with the am/fm as well. If your still under warranty, go to your local dealer and see about getting a replacement or go for a aftermarket headunit. You can get a bracket kit and adapter kit for around $40 at Best Buy.

I would its just the fact that most of the aftermarket head units I've seen don't really look as appealing...would you have any suggestions. I wanted to keep the interior looking as stock as possible because I don't wanna pull up to some honduh with the same cd player as me.

No I dont wish an accident on anyone. I have been in 3 and lucky to be alive twice. That 3rd pic has nice wheels though you could probably call the insurance co and get a deal.

Same thing happened to me, end up getting an aftermarket one, i got tired of listening to the radio. funny thing is when my cd player stopped working my friends bought another head unit, so i pretty much got the stereo for free.
