My 2003 Maxima GLE has only 43,000 miles and is still under the power train warranty, so the dealer will not look at my radio. I messed up while inserting a CD, and now have the ERR FO/F0 error displayed. I wonder if there is an easy fix to removing the radio and freeing up the locked CD. Any advice you may have will be deeply appreciated. I cannot afford (nor would I pay if, I could) the price the dealers want to replace the radio. I couldn't find anything in the factor service manual about this.

This might be a long shot, but you could try calling the head unit manufacturer (it's not bose). The one in my 96 is made by Clarion. Somebody else will have to verify that info for you.

The 6CD mechanism is very "flimsy" in the Maxima. I made the mistake of flipping mine on its side while I had CD's in and it lost its mind. I eventually ordered one off ebay and the old one is still sitting around with the CDs stuck in it. The only way to get them out is to open the radio and pretty much destroy the CD transport mechanism.

there might be a small hole depending on the style of your headunit by where the disc goes in that u can insert a paper clip into an it will end up forcing your cd out

I once had a CD stuck in my car's CD player. Someone had forced it in and it neither wanted to play or eject. I was able to force it out by pulling an edge of the CD that I was able to grab with some tweezers. It's a long shot, but definitely worth a try! Good luck ...
