CD player wiring issues...help

OK im trying to install an aftermarket cd player in my 93 240sx SE and i have the wiring adapter and all that stuff. I match up all the wires and i go to put it together and it dont turn or or anything...all the fuses are fine, im confused can anyone help me?

Is the radio mounted to the dash? More than likely the radio gets it's ground from the chassis that it's mounted to.

Other than that you must check the accessory and constant power leads, usually yellow for constant and red for accessory, for power with a multimeter or at least a test light. For the radio to turn on you must have power on the constant and accessory leads and you must have a good ground connection. It should turn on with only those three wires connected.

well i found out it is most likely the cd player that is not working because i hooked it up straight to the battery and it didnt turn on or anything
