I bought my first G35 '06 Sedan yesterday and I noticed a couple things wrong with the car on the long trip home that I did not discover while at the dealer. First off, will a Nissan dealership service dept. repair my Infiniti or do I have to take it to an actual Infiniti dealer?

The first thing was the Nav screen not staying down. When I turn the car off or touch the top of the screen to retract, it goes down and then comes right back up and stays up. It looks like it is not even so it could just be out of alignment. I called the dealer where I bought it after I discovered this and he said that my car is 'still under the "bumper to bumper" so it will cover it...' ..??? If Nissan will not repair my car the closest Infiniti dealer is 2 hours away!

Then I realized the CD player will not "grab" my cds... I try to push it in far enough for the CD player to guide the disk in but it doesn't. I have pushed the disk as far as barely being able to retrieve it from the player and still nothing. What to do? I have the Bose setup and I think it takes 6 CDs?

Thanks for any replies!

The CD changers in our cars is a common problem. The unit has a tendency to go bad over time. It's quite expensive, so going to the dealer or having an extended warranty is the only practical way out. The Nav should also be covered if you are still under the 4yr bumper to bumper. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure you are going to have to go to Infiniti, that is if you want to get any warranty work done...

Since he has an 06, the stereo deck problem is NOT a common one. You need to take it to the dealer! The NAV one is another new one to me...

I would take it to the Infiniti dealer for warranty work. The Nissan dealers are OK for things like oil changes or even brake pad replacements, but they may turn you away if they have to do warranty work.
