Am I not reading your post correctly?? You have bumper to bumper warranty... your stereo is not working as it should and you want to know what to tell them??

How about " since my stereo is under warranty and not working, you guys need to fix it"

Hey iblingidawg,

This just happened to me. On Sunday, my front left speaker kept going in and out. If I hit a bump, sometimes it would come back. So I took it to the dealer since I have a bumper to bumper. They said sometimes burned CD's will trip out your CD player (which I think is B/S considering I've been playing burned stuff for about 3 months)

But they are going to replace it for me anyway a bit later this week. So just go in and have them take a look, they should be able to replace it for you.

Actually... it does state in the manuel not to use ripped Cd's as it can cause the player to malfunction. With that said, when you bring it in, I would suggest having no burnt cd's anywhere in sight. And deny that you ever use them. That way, they can't cause you any grief as far as voiding warranty.

Just my $0.02

Hey G Whizz... I was told when I bought the car that a blown speaker or the like would not be covered under warranty... Were they just trying to up sell me on the extended warranty? My bass speaker in the rear buzzes like a cheap TV when I turn it up... Do you think they'd cover that?

I think I know your answer: "I SAID BUMPER TO BUMPER!"but I just want to double check...

I don't know if this will help but in my old car the driver's side speaker kept going out. If i gave the speaker a quick tap sometimes it would come back on. Turns out the wires were actually loose and i just needed to attach them better.

I'm not 100% sure regarding stereo and warranty (I'll see what I can find out). I think it would be up to the service departments discretion.

However, you have an 07... you can be damn sure even if it wasn't really covered, I would create a shiit storm (diplomatically of course ) if they dared to give me a hard time about this.

Like I said, I'll se what I can find out, if you find out before me (or anyone else) please post the result.

Sure as hell better be covered.

As long as you haven't exceeded your 36,000 mile warranty any malfunctions should be covered unless they can prove it was your mistake that caused the malfunction.

No car (infiniti or otherwise) should have an issue thats not covered under new warranty conditions.

Seriously, just tell them that the cd player is messed up, and should be covered by your warranty . Because I'm sure that most of us G35 owners have problems with the cd players.

Uhhh guys I've been jamming to my shady burned cd's complete with scratches and cracks etc.

I just noticed when I use the CD player I only have sound through the Right channel... I have 115Kilometers on my G, so warranty is nil...

What would Infiniti charge for the fix? or replacement?

I'm debating just opting for a full multimedia centre with double din dash assembly. What do you guys think?Right now I'm just running MP3 through the tape deck like Teflon.
