cd player install

hey all, i was wondering if i could get a step by step or at least an idea of how to get my cd player deck out of the console, i need to do so to install a new amp and subs..any help is much appreciated. btw, its a 93 240sx. thanks

pull off trim panel, unscrew four phillips screws pull out DIN cage(thats what the radio and the little holder thing is as a unit) un clip the clip behind radio, and install with new CD deck in reverse order!!!!!!! buy a connnector kit from a store so that you can just clip in the new DECK @@

can you tell ive done that alot , LOL.. i think i could do a stereo with my eyes shut ... or at least in the dark!!~!

It is pretty much that straight forward. I was well on my way to my first stereo install until I blew about 3 fuses. I had removed my ebrake cover to install a new one, but at that point is was just the actual metal brake...no cover. My dumb *** put down the wiring to get something and spark spark. I tried for anotehr day not thinking to check my fuses. I couldnt get power so I took it to someone to install. Two days later I am driving back to my homestate from picking up my 240 and get pulled over. No tail lights LOL. I was like i DO have tail lights. Come to find out, I blew that fuse when I sparked the radio wiring harness. LOL DONT DO THAT

Good suggestion. It didnt even cross my mind. I should have though of it, because when I installed an amp on my old Altima, I did disconnect it

yes, pleeeeeeease take the negative cable off, and also, ur question has already been answered about as simple as anyone could put it, so i guess ur set, pics please!! :)

It once took me three days to install a tach (dont ask how I was that stupid) basically I blew a bunch of fuses too...oops.

i never disconnectt the battery ... if you good enough youllnever throw a ground spark !!
