Have an 06 Altima, bought it used this month, and it is ejecting the CD from the player everytime I turn on or off the ignition. Is the player messed up, or do I need to reset it somehow. It is happening on any disc I use.

Well, this is a new one for me. I'm assuming you still have the stock stereo in the car? Also, do the CDs actually play after they are loaded? I don't believe there is any way to reset just the stereo. You could try removing the unit and disconnecting the power to it for about 5 minutes (which should be enough to clear the memory, but I doubt will help in this situation). I'm not really sure why this would be happening. It is certainly possible that the stereo is somewhat defective.

The cd's play just fine. It is a very odd problem indeed. Suppose I might have to look into after market players if it's defective

Yeah, after checking to make sure nothing is jammed in there that is hard to see, I don't know what else to say. Obviously, a dealer could probably figure it out, but they'll charge you since the car is probably out of warranty since you bought it used. Aftermarket *might* be the cheaper route.
