CD player disc read error Studio on Wheels with Hard Drive question

Hi

I have a week old G37S Coupe with the Premium package (Bose Music Box Studio on Wheels with the Hard Drive and single CD Player.

Over the last week I have copied 40 CD's on to the hard drive. Today I noticed that CD's would read forever and not start and then i get a disc read error...I am familiar with electronics and know this is not a good sign but I am going to try a disc cleaner....I went to the dealer and they are going to order a new CD player (I have a G37 journey S with the Premium package so I have the single disc changer with Music Box HD.

My question is does anyone think the problem could just be a dirty laser reader since I recorded so many discs and,,,,,

Assuming they replace the CD drive does anyone know if they have to replace the entire audio system including the Hard Drive? I spent a LOT of time copying and organizing over 40 CD;s and would prefer not to have to go thru that again...additionally I am of course paranoid about the service techs having to open the center console of my baby after only a week and less than 100 miles!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am going out to buy a cd cleaner now...will let you know how it goes...fingers crossed
