Hello everybody! I got my Versa S Auto for less than 6 months and my CD player already broke. There were some loud noise while the disc is spinning. All the CDs I tried got ejected. I tried the CD cleaning disc but that doesn't solve the problem. Does the warranty cover if I go to the dealer?

I also have some problem with the brake, there's some screeching noise when I suddenly put on the brake but no noise when slowly done so. And when I release the brake pedal from a complete stop I can hear some weird noise also (hard to describe but not the screeching kind). The noise is very prominent when the car is not warmed up yet.

Anyone has any idea? I love my Versa very much but wish it wouldn't have problems this early.Thank you.

Definately take the car to dealership. The stereo will be covered by the warranty and the techs should be able to figure out what is wrong with the brakes, if anything they can at least look at it and very that it is in working order.

I took my car to the dealer today and they will replace the stereo as soon as the parts arrive. About the brakes, they said there seems to be nothing wrong and told me to keep monitoring if there's any noise. It's interesting though that after I left the dealer I don't hear any noise any more.

Is it a thump thump thump sound when breaking? I had this problem on my 05 Sentra and after replacing 3 parts on my breaks (my sentra had 8K miles on it at the time) they found out that inside the drum were raised up engraved numbers on the part that made the annoying thumping sounds.

My stereo has been replaced. Less than an hour wait. The squeaking noise still exist, even louder sometimes. My Versa sounds just like public bus approaching red light. Has anyone has this problem at all. The dealer still says it's normal.Thank you.

Hi are you sure it's not just that you need to replace your brake pads? When you get to 10% of the brake pad, it will start screeching like crazy, deafening even. Just a thought.

It can be normal. Some squeal will be expected from the semi-metallic pads. The small bits of metal in the pads tend to make small amounts of noise. It's more evident in smaller cars than larger vehicles. Switching to pads with organic materials normally solves this problem but gives you another. These pads are softer than the semi metallics so they wear faster. They also may increase your stopping distance. I wouldn't think the rotors, calipers, lubrication would be the problem since the car is pretty new. I'd suggest you have your dealer inspect the rotors for any signs of damage.

Thank you guys for all your replies.

The problem is the squeaking noise doesn't come up every time I hit the brake. But when it squeals it's kinda annoying. My friend who rode with me also noticed the noise. I first heard the squeal when I reached about 3,500 Miles. Now I have about 5,500 miles on my V.

Anyway, My second oil change is coming up in a month. I'll convince the dealer to further inspect the rotor and the brakes. Hopefully they can fix it.
