Cd Plaer Showing "err"

FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS MY CD PLAYER IN MY 92Q HAS BEEN SHOWING "ERR" REGARDLESS OF WHICH CD I PUT IN IT. THE UNIT IS FROM A 94Q. IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS? A DISK CLEANER DID NOT WORK.

I assume this is a Sony unit, right? They tend to be more problematic than the Clarion, and if I understand correctly, something gets stuck somewhere, requiring disassembly of the whole unit.

Do a search for "changer err" in Infiniti General and you'll see some possible solutions for fixing it yourself or sending it to Sony.

Hey BigR,

Try power cycling the changer. Either disconnect the power qand control harness (difficult) or disconnect the battery. Mine works for quite some time after I do this. I do have to do it every few months.
