Is this normal for the base SL FWD when playing a CD it does not read the title of the CD that is playing or the track it is playing?Cheers!!!

To answer your question:

The artist, album, and track name are recorded onto the disc. This is called 'CD Text'. Not all CD's (factory produced or CD's 'burned' from your PC) have this information. Especially older ones.

To see the information, press the DISP button while playing the disc. If the CD-Text info isn't there you will see 'No Information'
