I was to busy to install the deck myself so I made the mistake of having Best Buy install it as i had errands to run at the mall anyways. Long story short is deck works fine, its a JVC deck but forgot the model right now, but I got a check engine light. Checked gas cap as I have had that issue before and its still there. Any suggestions to look for before i have them go back to the factory deck which was perfectly fine?

Take it back to Best Buy, they should fix it. If not they should pay to have it fixed.

mines the Service Engine Soon light, not the air bag light. It solid yellow as well not the red light of death. Bringing it to best buy to have them check it and finish/correct the install and have it set to go to the dealer tomorrow if need be if there's not other solutions

I was thinking you should approach it the other way around.

Take it to the dealer and have them check whatever code it is throwing to verify that the audio deck install IS the problem. By coincidence, you might actually have an engine problem that occurred at the same time as the install. The dealer should check the code for free under warranty.

Once you have the verified code, take the dealer printout to Best Buy and force them to fix it if Best Buy indeed screwed your car up.

If it is wiring does it void my warranty do you know by chance?? also best by said they could do it today and Nissan couldn't look at it until tomorrow. I figure if Best Buy puts the factory deck in and lights goes off we found the issue. then again could be completely wrong
