cd deck wont work

okay when i got the car it came with the decka nd it worked fine, i just got done doing some work under the hood and i was switching from three different batteries, now when i finally finished my car the stereo is the only ything that wont work. if the car is hooked up to a charger it works then works for like 2 min off the charger then dies. i cant figure it out and none of the fuses are blown

does your entire car die when off the charger, as in a slow power leak from faulty wires? Or everything works, car cranks, runs, lights work, etc. but the radio doesn't when you take it off the charger?
