cd changer, tape and digital display dead

I have a 1994 Q45a and the cd changer, tape and digital display gone. The display was the first to die. CD and Tape die together. I just replaced the cd changer a brand new one and all were working fine and suddenly, both become a dead device. When l press the cd or tape button, nothing happen. AM/FM is working fine. Pls help.
