I thought I would update everyone on this job of mine. I had checked all fuses and knew those were good so I set about to see what was going on behind the bose unit itself. I found it strange that I could not find any wiring diagram on the service manual that included a rear cd changer. Upon getting behind the bose unit I found what looks to be a Y connector that was not plugged in and figured it had to be part of the issue.
Here is what I saw
This image is after I reconnected things... When I first opened it up the connector (red circle) was plugged directly into the back up the bose unit in the port shown by the blue circle.
The whole Y connector shown by the green circle was not be used. Not sure why some one would of unplugged it or messed with it.
Sure enough after reconnecting these wires as shown in the pictures the cd changer sprang to life and the bose unit would now go into cd mode and play cd's perfectly.
However a question still remains.... On that Y connector shown by green circle in first picture there were 2 plugs that I could not figure out what they would be used for. I could not find a place that they would plug in anywhere. They are shown in the picture below indicated by the purple boxes. Any idea what these connectors are for?
