Im new to Nico and this is my first post, just last week i bought an 94 Infiniti J30. I love it, except the cd player is not working. The tape deck, and radio work fine, but when i enter a cd it holds it for a second making some noises like it can't read it, then i get an error message and it spits it back out. I can't figure out what i should plan to do.

Some options i have concidered are: 1Cleaning the cd player with a store bought package(i have heard of household products that do the same, any tips would be appreciated)

2Contacting Bose somehow to get help

3Locating a seperate CD changer (i have no idea how this would work, or if it's even possible)

Any help i would greatly appreciate,

Thanks a lot

Yep sounds like something internal. So i'll tell what a lot of people are going to tell you. Go ahead and get a new cd player. You can have it repaired. Call your car audio store and ask them. They will give you a number to some other place. At least most will. But I would get a new cd player.

Before you spend any money, watch eBay for a while, There is always some Infiniti stereo for sale, there. A good friend of mine had the same problem with his '93 J30. He went to a complete new Sony system.
