Hi, in a nutshell the headlights, tail lights, brake lights, gauges, sun roof, etc... don't work.

more info: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....08333

The car starts fine, so I've been checking grounds and such I found a few exposed wires gonna splice and solder them back together. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Other than that I'm clueless. The wire harness other than the few wires I found are intact and the grounds look good. All the grounds read at 11.6v.

ny suggestions would be helpfull, thanks!

the yr and model of your car would help. Dont chase your grounds down. If you have power at all your fuses on both side you have a short to ground on one of your power wires somewhere under the hood. could even be an internal short in the altenator. take it out and have it tested at autozone or some place like that.

It's a '90 Coupe, I'm gonna take the alternator in this weekend.

had the alternator checked, it's fine. I noticed while taking it out that the ground wire was cut, and there was another wire coming out of the wiring harness that looks like a ground. So once my battery recharges I'll see if that fixes the problem.

got the alternator hooked up, battery back on, fuse in. It worked great. Until after work...

I started up my car and drove for maybe 1 minute and the fuse blew again.....

When I started the car the fan was on all the way. I didn't really notice it was blown until after I had stopped a couple of times. This is driving me nuts once I find out what I did with my multimeter I'm going to check the chassis ground again.

But anyways, tomorrow I'm taking it to a Nissan dealership and having it checked out. The sad thing is was I was really happy when it was working properly again :(
