Here's what I used:
-Midland 40-Channel mobile CB ($25 on craigslist)
-Firestik II FS4-B 4ft tunable antenna ($15.61+shipping on eBay)
-Firestik MK-174 mounting/wiring kit ($25.59 on eBay)

So I tried to use the provided screws and drill/screw into the quarter panel, but after less than a day the mount was already really loose. So instead, I just used an existing bolt on the quarter panel, very sturdy now. I used the bolt closest to the windshield because that location is flatter than the other bolts, which slope down, causing the bracket to be crooked, and the antenna to not point straight up.

Since my car is an automatic, the hole for the clutch master cylinder was the perfect place to go through the firewall. Take off those two bolts and then you can remove that little cover, behind that you will see the hole big enough for the coax cable. Just drill a hole, thread your cable through, and bolt the cover back on. I then sealed the hole with some RTV gasket maker I had around.

I didn't want to drill into anything in my interior, so I just picked up some Command Strips and stuck the CB to the glovebox lid. As long as you properly clean both surfaces, this method is strong enough. Then I just routed all the wires underneath the dash and hooked it up!

All done! As soon as the weather clears up, I will take it to a radio shop and have them test/tune everything.
