I bought a set of Xenon headlights from a junkyard in New York after deciding that making the stock 97 headlights fit the 99 wiring was not worth the trouble. I hated to spend the money on the Xenons since they usually sell for what I paid for the car ($750 pair)!! I found a set online but they were the non-touring lamps. I caved and figured that I have to live with them even though I loved the touring lamp look. Plus they wanted $500 for the pair in good shape including bulbs and ballasts.

Well, I got them today, after they were delivered to my neighbor two doors down. For some reason, even though they were addressed to 281 Glenwood and he lives at 261 Glenwood, he thought he'd hang to them for two weeks until I discovered the mistake from the shipper and called him if he had them- "Oh yeah I do". Pissed me off because I thought the shipping address was wrong but no-it just didn't occur to him that they might be intended for the address on the package!

Opened them up today and guess what!!!!!!!! They're touring lamps with the black housing-for $500 complete. I'm very happy now.

I know have two standard headlights for sale and parts for two touring Xenons.

Install those HID flamethrowers and aim them at your neighbors windows late at night with the radio blasting as punishment!

Ugh!!!

The driver's HID is dim. I'm assuming that when the light is blue then its failing? I've got spare balasts but no extra bulbs so my "find" just went up in price.

Can't win 'em all.

It's hard to fathom the price of these lights, but they are extremely bright! I have the opportunity to use mine quite often in the middle of the night, on the interstate. When you're the only one on the road, and select the hi beams, you'd have to be going very very fast to overdrive them. I love 'em. They throw light all over, not just straight ahead. I can usually see Bambis' eyeballs glowing from over a mile away.

That being said, if you crash one of these mothers just barely fast enough to break them both, the car is probably close to being totaled by the time you add in the rest of the crumpled front end bits. I suppose you gotta pay to play.

I see guys trying to sell parts for them on ebay but I have no idea of the quality of what they are trying to unload. Might not be a bad idea to start watching and researching for spare bits.

Not only are they sweet at night, I like the way they look in the daytime as well.
