yeah we all know cat removal is a felonius assault on the enviro. however, if ya could or did, is there ang noticeable gains? increase in db?

We had one w/ cat elements pryed out, we were going to changed it anyway. Just for kicks we had taken the honey comb out of the cat housing. it defintely sound better, felt better. Quicker response. I feel about at least 10-20 horses. Just for another kick we haad our buddies do a smog. Well it passed. clean. We put one anyway after that, well that is what I will tell you anyway.

To remove the cat all together you can expect 5-8 horsepower, do high-performance pre-cat, maybe 1-2 horse.Nothing big.

must be turbo my mazda turbo used to shoot flames in the winter 3" down pipe straighr back to a walker dynomax. was pretty cool

Yeah its a CA powered S13, with 3" downpipe, 3" test pipe, and 3" catback and a straight thru muffler, and im running just a tad rich between shifts so it shoots a bit of flame.
