Installed my Catch Can. I'll post more pics up tomorrow.

I was able to squeeze it right in there by the power steering reservoir. It was a tight fit.

This is an ebay catch can, $20. Cant beat the cost.

Catch can is used to accumulate the blow-by oil that gets mixed in with air in the lower plenum for combustion.

I don't think that everyone needs one, but there is certainly no harm is having one.

It will (in theory) optimize fuel/air mixture for combustibility so that you aren't losing power due to oil in the mix.

I'll try to get a few more pics of it today. Its really not a difficult install. The hardest part is trying to find a location to mount your catch can.

The rest is just connecting a few 3/8" hoses.

You might actually benefit from this Jacko. I have a feeling that the Rev-up engines have a LOT more oil vapor in the PCV system than the non-rev-ups. This is only based on seeing the inside of my plenum versus 4drmadness'. Vivek's was just slightly oily whereas mine was brownish yellow and required a good deal of cleaning.

I have a non-rev up, with a great deal of oil residue

Nate, what do you suggest to use as a cleaning solution?

I found my catch can btw, planning to install my frankenstien stainless steel water bottle soon.

John, do you have a link to the listings on ebay handy? I've been shy to ebay since my NOS never showed up in the summer.

Let's see pictures of it when you're done.

Throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner should clean up the plenum pretty well, just keep both away from the actual throttle.

If you're up to the challenge, you might also remove the lower plenum and clean it and the intake manifold (about 5" of "piping" below the lower plenum). I need to pop open my plenum to see how clean or dirty it is with the oil catch can.

Also, if you go the eBay route, because you don't like the awesome innovation that I've started hehehe. Be sure that there is some type of coalescing filter in the catch can. Most (even the expensive ones) are just pretty bottles with an inlet and outlet.
