i suspected i had a hole in my exhaust but my dad wanted to take it to midas anyway and they said both my cats are rusted through and want to charge me $1800 for parts and service, that sounds whack for factory stuff, would any of you recommend magnaflow high flow cats welded on or ebay cats?

I'd try some $60 magnaflow high flow cats before I spent $1800 on them. I just had my muffler guy put on two resonators in place of the cats (cats didn't have any material left in them) for $25 each and I found the resonators on ebay for $25 each. Of course we don't have any emmision testing here.

Oh, and contrary to what I've read on here before, the piping size is only 2" before the cats and is actually less than 2" (like 1 7/8") after the cats.

agree with gr8scott72, also try to find a scrap yard that has a J30 near where you live, 1800 is a lot of money to spend for just cats.... good luck

You can find that same one on ebay for about $10-$15 cheaper. I wouldn't think you would have any o2 sensor problems.
