My scan tool tells me "Catalysts efficiency below threshold, bank 2". Now I have to ask, am I replacing the cat or the sensor? I'm ridin hi on 90,000 miles, so I know my warrenty is up.

I'm having the same troubles. Although, I kinda know why, I put a high-flow cat on. My SES will come on and off every 250 miles or so. It's got a mind of it's own!

Federal emissions warranty is 8yrs or 80k miles. They just replaced my cat on my Q45 for free. I had the same code as yours.

That code could also mean the o2 sensor(s) is bad.

That was my thought too, but he is at 90k miles... I would target the sensor first, it's a little less costly than the cat.--Mike
