catalytic converter

Hey I got the hotshot header on my 96 240 and it removed the cat, I've been told random technology and warpspeed has aftermarket cats for the 240 but they're a bit pricey...

and I've been told cars in california have the 2nd cat converter, which in other states is just a hollow tube... any1 wanna confirm this or have other plans

The California emissions version did have two cats. One in the exhaust manifold and another located right after the secondary 02 sensor.

On the federal emissions S14s the secondary cat is hollow. It works as a resonator to keep exhaust noise down.

The random tech cats work well, but alot of people report rattling after a while.

Only thing is it has no flanges, but you can't go wrong for $99. How much are random cats anyways?
