catalytic converter question

well, my exhaust cracked in half today, on the piping right after the rear cat.my first problem was my front cat (emission-wise)i was wondering if i ran with a test pipe, would i pass visual inspection?if i rid of the front one and ran only the rear would i pass smog?if i eliminate both cats can i still pass visual inspection?i live in az if it makes a difference.thanks for any help you guys have.
