Catalytic converter gone bad!!!!!!!

So i started to get the stalling and the rotten egg smell, i know its time to replace the cat con, does anyone know if replacing it is doable at home or should i take it to a shop? Also which one(s) usually go bad is it all of them or the one under the car towards the back? Thanks.

It is a very easy thing to do if you have the right tools at hand. If you have a few jack stands and a tool set then it shouldnt take that long. You are going to have to make sure that you spray those bolts with some pb blaster or wd40 to loosen them up so that you dont snap the studs.

I was throwing SEL for bad coils, i just replaced one of the coils last night thinking it would stop the stalling> replacing the coil did stop the misfire and stalling for a while but this morning it started again with the smell and stalling and loss of power but no SEL this morning ill see later when i drive home from work.
