I have a 93 240sx, I put a HKS carbon Ti exhaust on it, got a ticket, put on a buddys stock exhaust, noticed it sounded like crap, and the put my HKS back on. Now there is a HUGE friggin leak at the point the Cat and exhaust bolt together I bought new gaskets with no luck I tried tightening it so much that I broke one of the bolts on the cat. So I was wondering why is there a gap there all of the sudden? Should I (1) buy a used cat online (I don't need/want a test pipe or high flow cat)(2) go to midas and have them weld the whole mess together. (3) curse my luck with my car and buy an STI even though I can in no way afford it yet.

I had a similar problem with mine. Try using more than one gasket. I ended up putting in three to stop the leak.

I had two I gave one to my buddy. Should've kept it, oh well. Anyways, I just found out the bone heads at the court house lost my proof of correction and checks so now I need to redo everything. I think I'm just gonna go to Midas have them redo the whole lot and sell this exhaust, just too many problems.

I wanted to add in I hate hate hate the LA courts! All this over $10
