Sorry to hear about your bumper. I hit a cat last year on my way home from work one night. The cat was stalking a rabbit along the side of the road. I saw the rabbit first and slowed a little and the cat darted in front of my so I locked the car brakes up (no other cars around) and a -BUMP- was heard and the front of the car jumped a little. Result, the front passenger side tire ran over him and he was a dead cat, no damage to the car. I also ran over a possum while doing 65mph at night. I didn't see him until it was too late so I hit him at 65mph but he cleared the bumper and hit right under my floorboard and my feet felt the impact.
The worst damage I have had to the bumper is when I was following behind a semi on I-95 in the slow lane doing about 60mph getting ready to take the next exit when all of a sudden a huge blown out semi tire came out from the truck ahead and I hit it dead center! There was no where for me to go. Unbelievably the only damage that occurred was on the front license plate. It was all bent up with tire marks and I never was able to get it looking good again. The front Kouki bumper suffered no damage except a few rubber marks. The tire went completely under my car. I ran over the whole d*** thing and the stupid front Virginia license plate took the blow of impact! Lucky me! I have new plates as of a month ago.
