Just wondering if anyone here went that route?

I never let my cats into my coupe. They are much too furry and they still have their claws, a recipe for upholstery disaster.
You could try a small animal carrier? :gotme

I know of very few that went that route with the 3.5. Those are the turbo V6 guys. As far as N/A guys... nobody made test pipes that pair to the RL y-pipe. Don't know of anyone that went custom either.

It's funny because the 2.5 guys have it much easier to make catless happen but I haven't heard of anyone doing it.

I think it's because nobody wants to deal with the CEL. What gains should I expect if I do go that route?

It's so easy to get around it's silly. All it took on my Spec V was an O2 sensor spacer on the bank 2 sensor. Never threw a light over 30,000 miles of driving (sometimes REALLY driving).

That said, if you don't already have a catless Stillen header (or something of the like), then I wouldn't expect a bunch. 5-ish hp. The real money shot is a good freer flowing header that is catless plus a 2.5" test pipe. You'll need a tune to optimize the extra breathing. I think it was good for roughly 15whp in the Spec Vs so I would expect similar results in the 2.5 Alty.

Yea I definitely have a tune planned after doing it. How bad will it affect the loudness of the exhaust? Not that I care, I'm just wondering.

Not much but you'll notice it louder if you reach past 3500rpm
I don't have a coupe tho, I own the 4th gen Altima sedan with cat-less exhaust and Stillen headers
