i just read every returned search for cat (took almost an hour), and couldn't find an answer

where can i find a high flow cat? (not a test pipe), it must work (hopefully moving to L. A. CA)

i am looking for one that is a direct replacement (my header and cat-back is designed for it), i.e. same flanges and length

reason i want to replace it is cause of the bottle neck theory and the one on the car is 13/14yrs old.

i beleive i want a 3 way, car is 93

all else fails i guess i'll have to get a universal and weld some flanges on it

and if you can tell me of ones you have used and passed emissions with?

thanks all

I have a Magnaflow 2.5" Hi-flow Cat on my car and it passed emissions. I got it from a guy on here for $125 shipped.

I dunno where else to get them. You have to look for the polished stainless ones though, as they are the high flow ones. The normall un polished ones are just direct stock replacements.

Just buy a universal magnaflow and chop the ends of your old cat and weld them on you new one. you can get universals for 55-60 shipped of ebay. Thats my plans. I have one on the way. My old cat stinks like a$$ when u beat on the car.

Just FYI, the mirror finish stainless steel cats from Magnaflow are the same as the regular ones, both are "high flow," per Magnaflow. They just want you to buy the polished ones, since they cost two, almost three, times as much.
