With the advent of the Stillen, Borla, and Nismo exhausts being available to all now, I was wondering what the difference between the three systems are. Exactley what pieces each kit is replacing, what the new diameters are on each kit, what performance gains are expected on all, and if at all possible, proven sound differences and comparisons on anyone that has purchased the Stillen, Borla, and Nismo exhausts. I hope this proves to be the one go-to thread that answers most, if not all, questions people considering an exhaust upgrade will face. So, if any of you performance gurus, techs, or just general gear-heads wish to answers these question, I say go ahead and enlighten us with your expertise. And yes, I know the search option is there but search doesn't always answer all thoughts and concerns. Thanking you in advance for your extreme knowledge. ^_^

Just my personal opinion. Yes you'll get a lil more performance with the full cat-back system but in my case I'm not looking to be the fastet, just a lil exhaust tone. Of course the money can be saved to get the full system, to each is own.

D-Roll, when do you plan on getting the exhaust? If you get it soon, post a vid of it so we can hear how it sounds. That way we can get a comparison of the Nismo, Borla, and Stillen exhaust sounds. My ultimate goal here is to have a detail on what each of the three current exhausts brings to the table. If there is anyone that can add to this, please feel free to chime in so that way we can all know the facts before we drop 500-1k+ on an exhaust.

cat-back? do u mean the cat too? when i went to my local muffler shop, i told him i wanted 2.5" piping to get rid of the "kink" the 3.5 SE has and he said you mean cat-back? and on my receipt it says cat-back too. so if you guys are not talking about the cat itself, i plan on getting magnaflow mufflers, i already have the 2.5" cat-back (not including the cat.... the pipe from the cat to the muffler). if you guy's are not talking about any sort of high flow cat, it was $100 for my 2.5" pipe and its gonna be $250 for the Magnaflow mufflers so if we're talking about the same thing, $500 to $1,000 is way over priced. not sure when i'm going to get it done but i'm hoping soon
