I'm going to be driving a 2010 Altima Coupe 3.5 SR. I'm looking to replace the exhaust system it has for something that sounds better! ALTHOUGH every YouTube video I watch, and every link I click, all I hear is crackling. To be honest, some of these AC owners are making their cars sound like rice burners :nono: What's an exhaust I can get that will make my car have a deeper throaty sound like a v6 should have..rather than a 4 cylinder honda civic with a coffee-can exhaust tip?

id say continue watching youtube videos. some of the coupe drivers have some agressive sound exhaust like Hussian does. and about cat back setup, if youre worried to get pulled over for an exhaust just get a catback. if you dont care u could always go catless and make it straight pipe

I have a borla and a Y-pipe and it sounds awesome. The first link is of my car, it was taken right after I installed it so its pre-break in, and second is of an A/C I found on youtube. I don't know much about exhausts, but the borla is great.

s*** man, you weren't kidding. I guess Borla is the way to go. Somehow I missed both of those videos when I was watching them. That's the exact sound I was hoping to achieve through a new exhaust. Do you happen to have links to the exact parts you had purchased? I'm not trying to get the wrong thing then have my car sound like a civic haha. Straight pipes- ehhhh I'd have to hear them haha.

Yeah, I'm very impressed with this combo, I've only had them on for less than a week and look forward to driving every time. These are the two exact sites I purchased from, and it took both items right at 3 weeks to get here however I think the Y pipe should get there first, the borla is with out a doubt on back order but shouldn't be more than 4 weeks is what I was told at the beginning so I think that is about standard unless you hit it just right. Also this isn't a complete cat back, the borla is an axle-back and the Y-pipe is the first section of the exhaust, there's still a factory pipe in between the two, and to set your mind at ease with the 2010's my car is also a 2010 and all parts fit perfectly. and I used a sealant for the Y pipe and the stock pipes, that's the third link. Any ?'s just post, I'll give as much input as I can. BTW you're looking at $1050 in just parts for the exhuast.

I'm the only one here with a custom made Fast Intentions exhaust. Running that with the Racingline Y-Pipe (full sponsor). The sound is amazing, better than the Borla but since it's custom, no one else really has it unless you go to fast intentions and get them to make a set for you. Here's some pics of it..

I went with the Nismo Cat Back and the racing line Y Pipe. I am pretty impressed with the sound on this set up.

I think there is a You tube video out there of this set up.

The FI exhaust was about $1500 new but I got this from a forum member, Loop. This is the same exhaust he had on his car when it went to SEMA and when he sold it to me it was pristine condition and it wasn't even broken it yet. The exhaust note has since dropped a little but it's no fart can! Unfortunately I don't have a video of it. My daughter has my video camera and taking a video sound clip of it, I don't think, will do it justice. You'll need to hear it in person to appreciate the tone :yesnod
